All Things New

16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.   2 Corinthians 5:16-21

Endless Love

Who can describe or measure the love of God? God is love.  The love of God that is immeasurable, unmistakable, unending, and reaches to wherever we are.

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

God’s Grace

To learn the definition of God’s grace, it is wise to understand the Greek and Hebrew words behind this term.
A prominent Old Testament word describing God’s grace is chesed. This word speaks of deliverance from enemies, affliction, or adversity. It also denotes enablement, daily guidance, forgiveness, and preservation.
The New Testament word is Charis. It focuses on the provision of salvation.

What does the Bible say?
“This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:22-24).
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:8-10).
“For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).
“For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” (Romans 5:17).

Be a Prayer Warrior

If the Bible can be likened to food, because it nourishes our spiritual lives, then prayer can be likened to our breathing.  There are two parts to breathing–breathing in and breathing out.  So it is with prayer–the outreach after God and His response to us.  The person who said “I can’t find time for prayer,” was correct.  You must make time for prayer.  Simply, talk to God.  Petition, give thanks, praise, worship and intercede. This is an important lesson to learn: God answers prayer.  Sometimes He says, “Yes”, sometimes He says, “No” and often He says, “Wait.” But time spent in prayer is never wasted. You see, even more than what He does for you, God is interested in what He can do in you.  Prayer changes things-and people. Be a prayer Warrior!!!

The River of Life is partnering up with Fountain of Grace Outreach Ministries & Pastors Albert and Lady Lewis.  Please feel free to donate food, gently used clothing and goods at the River of Life Ministry Center; or place monetary gifts marked Fountain of Grace using the donate button below.  We want to show God’s love to the community through acts of kindness. As the church we are called to serve, help and reach those who are lost, hurting, and poor, which is why our church places such a strong focus on outreach events.  The Bible says in Isaiah 61, ”The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 1:5

“My children, Just as I commanded Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, I have chosen YOU to share the gospel with all those that are lost.  Your walk with Me will sustain your life’s mission and My promised presence will go before you.  The world is in turmoil at this appointed time and it is important that you stay focused on this mission and trust that I am with you and will not forsake you.  If you trust in Me, I will move mountains for you and you will not be in harms way.  Be obedient to your Master and do not cave in to the wickedness that is rising up.  I have given you the Word so that you would not perish for the lack of knowledge.  Do not be ignorant but gain knowledge and wisdom through the Word and through prayer.  Listen for My voice and I will lead the way for you.”  This is the Word of the Lord.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4

My children,  Do not be blinded by the evil one and push righteousness under the rug.  Satan is the god of this age and his work is to deceive, kill and destroy. You have become the righteousness of Christ through redemption.  Everything is worthless in this world compared to the love of Christ and the eternal gift that you have been graced with.  Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and don’t be ignorant to the Word so that you will not be deceived.  Walk the straight and narrow path and continue to press on with the gospel to those that have been blinded by the deceiver. The truth is being exchanged for a lie these days and it is up to you, my children to stand your ground. Have no fear for I will guard your hearts and your minds and disperse angels around you to protect you until the day you will be lifted up.”  This is the Word of the Lord.

5 But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6 Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7 Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” 8 Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just! – Romans 3:5-8

“My children, Live a pure and righteous life style and let sin not have a hold on you.  I am a just and loving God but I detest sin and unrighteousness and there will be a day of judgment.  My grace is sufficient but how will others know who I am if you do not show them the way, the truth and the life?  Do not be deceived; use wisdom and be faithful to knowledge of the Word. Why?  Because I love you and you love me!  It is this love that will draw you to what is good and pleasing to your Heavenly Father.  Be of good character and be the light that shines through the darkness.  My Kingdom done, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.   This is the Word of the Lord.

21 After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23 Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ 25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. 26 Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.” Acts 27: 21-28

“My children, Listen and be obedient to My voice.  Do not go your own way because of arrogance and pride; submit yourselves to the Word and humble yourself before your God.  Pride comes before the fall and I love you and want you to rise up to the calling and plans I have before you.  Step out of yourselves and let me do a work in your heart and lead you to the place of excellence.  I want you to be free of the strongholds that have been holding you back from the position I have been calling you to step up to.  Come to me, my precious loved one and allow me to mold you  into the image of my Son Jesus Christ.  The day is near where you will have to put yourself aside and trust in Me for your provision and direction until the day where you will be lifted up.   This is the Word of the Lord.

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. Hebrews 11:1-2

My children, You can be sure and certain that the beginning and the ending point are for certain because it has already been written.  Faith combines assurance and anticipation so you can be sure and anticipate that the things that you pray for will be answered in My perfect timing and for My plan and purpose for your life.  I am a promise keeper and My word is living and truth.  If I can call the universe into existence than what can be too hard for Me?  I know your needs before you even ask.  Seek My Kingdom and righteousness and I will fulfill my promises to you.  Nothing will stand against you and prosper.  Believe and receive by faith all that I have for you because you are My child and I love you.  Trust Me even if you don’t understand the things that are mysteries to you and obey my commands and I will hold fast to the covenant that you have made when you received Me into your heart.”  This is the Word of the Lord.
